    Hi there,

Well, you could create a page and use the [wpp] shortcode in it to have a “Popular Posts” page ??

    Thank you.

Any way to show full posts? For example a picture? As well as the Author like in the widget? Also this short code is showing pages in the list. I don’t want to show pages.

I don’t mind if I have to edit some php.

You don’t need to edit PHP, actually. The [wpp] shortcode is flexible enough so you can customize the listing to your needs.

Check the Parameters section at Settings > WordPress Popular Posts so you can find the available options (including adding a thumbnail of each post and how to exclude pages from the listing).

Thank you, this is great. A couple more questions though. Is there a way to let the full picture show instead of specifying a thumbnail size?

Also I’m using a lightbox plugin. Any way to enable this when the image/title is clicked?

    Thanks again for your support.

That’s a little beyond of what the [wpp] shortcode can do – it’s flexible, just not that much hehe.

To further customize the HTML output rendered by the shortcode, you’d have to use the WPP filters. By using them, you could have it show the full image and also add whatever the lightbox requires to recognize the images. It’s a “power user” feature though, you need some coding skills (or know someone who has ’em) for that.

This is extremely helpful. Thank you very much!

    No problem!

I’ll mark this topic as resolved, then. If you need further help, don’t hesitate to ask.

Do I make a new template and configure the WPP filter. Or am I supposed to create a shortcode?

Nope, just create a new page via wp-admin, add the shortcode to your new page’s content and publish. It’s that easy ??
