• I really like how this plugin works, but you are becoming annoying with your notifications and other things I don’t need in my admin panel.

  • Hi @kallentz, @efishinsea, @karakaplan and @dking64,

I’ve added you to our internal report so that our developers know you’re also interested in an option to dismiss those update notifications.

    Thanks for your comments.

I couldn’t agree more. I actually wouldn’t even mind the notification spam if reading it meant I could dismiss it. I don’t like being forced to hide notifications–though you can bet I’ve already implemented that solution–in case there’s something I actually NEED to know. What you’re doing is forcing people to ignore you, instead of just doing the absolute most common and only correct thing to do with notifications: Allowing the user to mark them read.

I love how we all want these notifications to stop and in the meantime I discover: There now is a little violet popup-hint, notifying me that “There are new notifications”. *epic facepalm*

Running 15.6.2 on WP 5.6, PHP 7.4.13, and the same behaviour is occurring. Issue is NOT fixed by 15.6.2!

Hey @monbauza, please add me to your list, too. This issue was brought up 4.5 months ago and you are pretty much simply ignoring it. C’mon …

Same here. Please allow to dismiss these notifications.

    Hi all,

We’ve just released Yoast SEO v15.7 which removes release notifications from within the plugin.

Thanks for your patience while we were reconsidering this.

    hello monbauza,

thats one of the best news this january ??

now i can renew all my premium plans

    thank you very much

    >add_filter( ‘wpseo_update_notice_content’, ‘__return_null’ );
It was so before but not authors turn off this feature.
    ??

I see a red bubble in the main admin menu.
Just imagine if every plugin will add the same red bubble. It would be a circus, not admin panel.

Just coming here to add my 2 cents, and the fact that I’m bothering to complain says a lot about how annoying this is. This notification (in the admin bar and on the left sidebar) is very invasive.

I just got this notification across all my websites, including the annoying red notification icon in the menu bar.

We see that you enabled automatic updates for WordPress. We recommend that you do this for Yoast SEO as well. This way we can guarantee that WordPress and Yoast SEO will continue to run smoothly together. Go to your plugins overview to enable auto-updates for Yoast SEO.

HOW can I disable this once and for all?

Can you stop with your annoying notifications?

    Hey everyone,

Yoast doesn’t care about our opinion. This is their modus operandi now.

I recommend you to try the SEO framework instead.

Removing myself from this issue follow up.

    Best wishes

When you finally remove the notices ( I have over 400 sites) I will start using YOAST again. Not til then. Its not that vital compared with the time wasted closing them
