    Hello:

I have a blog that is not on the homepage. I did this by adding the Category blog to my menu and having all my posts be in the ‘blog’ catergory. I want to have the latest post be the first feature section on my Customizr theme home page. How can I do this?

I’ve read other threads on this, but didn’t see the answer.

    Thank you,
    Cathy

  • Trying to understand why you are categorizing posts to get them on a blog page. The “proper” way to do this is:

    – Create an empty page, called “Blog”
    – In Appearance > Customize > Front Page, select:
    — Front page displays: A static Page
    — Posts page: Blog

(and the Featured Pages Unlimited (paid) plugin that will give you feature-links to posts).

    Hi:

I had learned to create the Blog category and put it in the menu in a You Tube video. If I make a Blog page as you suggest, I can get it in the feature section. The problem is that if I make my front page a static page, the slider and all the feature images (my home page) go away. The Blog page becomes the home page. How do I keep the home page the way I created it with the “don’t show any posts or pages” in the front page box and have a blog page?

    I appreciate your input.

    Thanks

Cathy, the slider and the featured pages block do not go away if you select blog to be displayed on first page.

Here, I have the homepage set to display my latest posts.

A link to your website would help us give you more specific advice.

I don’t want the blog on the homepage. I want the Blog on a separate page, but I want to be able to link to that page in the feature section.

You can easily link your blogpage to one of the featured blocks. Just select it from the list. A link to your website would be helpful.

Thanks for the comments. I realize I need to pay for this option.
