Can You Limit Topic Creation

    Can you limit who can create topics? We operate a bait and tackle shop and are looking for a BBS that we can offer to our customers. but we want to control the topics available.. Also can topics be grouped? For example, we want to offer “fishing reports” and then have Freshwater, Saltwater, etc. Under that category,

    Thanks for reaching out. You can limit who can create a topic by creating a roles on Discussion Board under Settings >> User >> Permitted Poster Roles. Please see screenshot: https://snipboard.io/AJ36da.jpg

    For topic groupings, you can create another Discussion Board for “fishing reports”. You can create a Topic Category but it is only available on Discussion Board Pro features.
