Currently if a product is marked as out of stock in it’s product data the following message appears on the product page: “This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.”
I would like to either change what this says or disable it altogether. Any insight on how to do this?

    Hello @aliciad7,

You can change the text by using a free translation plugin like Loco Translate. This will allow you to find that phrase and change it to be what you’d like.

You can follow our step-by-step guide on how to do that here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-localization/#section-5

    Cheers.

I am not a developer and do not have any coding abilities. Any suggestions for beginners, or does this require advanced skills?

    Hi @aliciad7,

You don’t have to possess coding skills to use Loco Translate. The page I shared it’s a good starting point, but if you need further guidance about changing a text on your site using that plugin, please get in touch with the plugin authors directly:

Ok, I understand that this can be used to change the text, however the link you sent me shows how to translate the text into a different language, and the second portion explicitly says “Only advanced users or translators wishing to create a custom translation to WooCommerce should attempt this method”, again I am a very green beginner. I don’t want to translate the text into another language, I want to disable in stock/ out of stock from showing all together. If I’m not able to do this I want to take out the “and unavailable” portion of the text while still allowing customers to add the product to their cart/quote.

Do you have any other suggestions, as this solution does not work for me?

Never mind, I figured it out myself. To anyone else with a similar issue, I solved this by going to WooCommerce -> Settings -> Product -> Inventory -> Unclicked “Enable stock management”. Pretty simple solution! Happy Holidays!
