• Is it possible to upload several events at one time, via CSV or XLS, etc? I seenothing about this in the documentation, but the rest of th plugin features fit in perfectly so far for my company’s site. If it’s a Pro feature, that’s fine, we just need it.

  • Hello,

Currently Events Manager doesn’t have any Import/Export of Events. However, Since Events are Custom Post types. You may be able to use 3rd party plugins that allows you to import custom post types. However you may need to map the data correctly.

    GOOD NEWS!

I am currently running final tests, but it looks all good!
I have created a very simple to use plugin to bulk import EM Events & Locations form a CSV file.

If all goes well, I will be releasing it later today or tomorrow. ??

    Hi Patrick,

This looks very interesting. Are you still releasing this, and where will it be released?

I made a mistake with a client and said EM could import CSV files, but on looking for the section on importing, I find here there is no means of import! I got something wrong with the client.

    Cheers,

Hi @mickeydblv coincidentally we just released an official importer/exporter plugin which does CSV and much more! See our release post: https://wp-events-plugin.com/blog/2019/12/24/importing-and-exporting-is-here/

@angelo_nwl, I downloaded Events Manager I/O, but on a clean localhost with the latest EM versions I get this error upon activation:

WordPress database error: [Table 'localhost.wp_em_io_imports' doesn't exist]
    INSERT INTO wp_em_io_sync SELECT import_id, post_id, uid_raw, type, date_created, date_modified, UNHEX(uid), UNHEX(checksum) FROM wp_em_io_imports

Then, nothing… No added menu item… No changes in the EM settings. Looking at the code, it does look promising, though.

    @mickeydblv,
The new, official plugin Angelo mentioned seems to have much more options.

My “alternative” is much simpler. It will require the CSV file to have only 8 columns for importing events and 5 columns for locations. So, if you “just” want to upload in bulk without many options, you might want to check out my EM Import/Export add-on here:
    https://www.stonehengecreations.nl/creations/stonehenge-em-bulk/

    It’s a free download, btw. ??
