Hi, just a quick one…I want to install WordPress now, but also add Drupal later on.

Can WP share the same database with Drupal? I understand that I need to create a prefix or something like abc_ ? And the Drupal installation will have another prefix like xyz_ ?

But anyway, will it be easier on server resources (I’m on shared hosting)to share a database or more systematic to create 2 separate databases…one for WP and another for Drupal? Then there is no need to bother with prefixes, not that I fully understand this prefix thing yet…

    Thanks

    Yes.

    Yes.

It doesnt matter, same amount of queries either way.

The prefix is used for the tables that reside inside the database. Even if you dont install Drupal, wp will still use a prefix ( there is a defualt prefix of wp_ )
