Can WordPress do it ?

  • I have been tasked to design and implement a website where users can search for jobs and training opportunities. There is a table of 400 users that can apply for Training and jobs. So I need to implement the following;
    1. Add these 400 users to the WordPress database and when these users visit the site and see a job or training they are interested in, they can login and apply
    2. Registered Companies should be able to post jobs
    3. Registered Organisations should be post trainings
    Kindly assist me by pointing me in the right direction and is all this achievable in WordPress

  • While WordPress is capable of this sort of thing, that is a LOT of users. This, however, is the ideal task for a forum, as long as you can restricts who signs up.

    The table of 400 users is already there ,what needs to be done is to import these users into the wordpress database then they can start logging to apply for jobs and training opportunities.Really need to implement this by mid-july 2014

    WordPress is probably capable of this, but it would be a lot of work. It’s sort of like using a hammer to drive screws. Better to use the right tool.

    If you really must have WP do this, and it really is that urgent, you might want to post this at https://jobs.wordpress.net/ and see if you get any nibbles. That will give you some idea of the amount of work involved.
