Can WordPress be made to act like a MySpace page?

  • I’m looking to design my first WordPress powered site and was wondering if I can have it set up where I can invite friends (registered users?) who can post their comments with their own avatar?

    Has anyone done this? If anyone has a sample site, please post a link here.

    How would I be able to do something like this with WP?
