Can we still use the extentions after a year?

I see the Extensions Pass and wondering if a single site able to use it still after a year or we need to pay again after a year? Coz if still need to pay again I think I’ll need to reconsider buying it. Some plugins I bought for my website are for lifetime but after a year we won’t get the upgrade feature any more, I wonder if this isn’t the case for your extenstions.
