can we set gmail username as wp username for registering user?

1.) 3.) By default we are doing this, but I think it is possible, that your users have special characters in their names (maybe profile picture). In WordPress you cannot use special characters for user data, and that could be the cause of your problem.

Please note, that we don’t support custom coding, but if you are able to write a code, that would change special characters into latin letters, then as you see here:

you can modify a user’s data before registration.

2.) You would need to use the previous custom code for this too. So we do not have options to change what the username should be, but you can write your own code to modify that.

i forget to mentioned another thing.

when signing up via google/facebook can those user roles be something else? Instead of subscriber they will be like social member roles?

also is it possible if login via Facebook is turned on if we can extract email address and set it on wp profile email, from that fb profile? If no email we’re found or added, then they will asked to provide gmail/email address before registration is complete?

I’m sorry, but the user role modification is only available in the Pro version with “Default roles for user who registered with this provider“.

About email address:
This is how our system works, so the provider’s email address is used for the created WordPress account. And if there isn’t an email address, because the user registered with mobile phone to a provider, or the user doesn’t allows you to receive this data, then we will ask for an email address to be entered.

as you can see Arabic language name made weird username. Didn’t take gmail username for wp username.

but English one did check another ss. Is there any workaround needs to be done? On setup.

But that is happening because of what Gabor has mentioned previously. So it is not possible to use special characters for user data, in which case we won’t be able to generate a comprehensible username either, so we will end up generating a random username, so that is probably what you saw. In the Pro Addon we have an option to request user input when the username is invalid or empty, in which case we will ask the user to enter a name manually. Currently, your other option is to change the special characters with a custom code, like Gabor mentioned previously:
