can we set cache in folder outside wp-content ?

    i read in FAQ about move cache folder to /wp-content/resources/

    i’m wondering if cache can be set outside wp-content ?

    well, it wasn’t developed as such and I haven’t tested this extensively, but e.g. this;

    define('AUTOPTIMIZE_CACHE_CHILD_DIR','/../wp-aocache/');

    seems to work, creating a wp-aocache directory in your root directory.

    but as I said, no guarantees, test before using this on a production-system ??

    the reason i ask for it because i use hide plugin to rename wp-content and plugin directory

    AO create min cache files in new wp-content directory but sometimes it got 404 for finding the files

    because i change wp-content and plugin directory name, but since cache folder is move on root, now it works , thankyou for your solution
