Can we restrict editor privileges to only certain contributors?

  • If I have 10 editors, each in charge of 10 contributors, can I restrict editor privileges to only the contributors “under” each editor?

    As far as I can tell there is no relationship between certain editors and contributors but instead all editors have privileges over all contributors.

    Can you point me in the right direction? Perhaps a plugin?

  • The Members plugin will let you define a new Role with the desired capabilities. Then you can assign that Role to only selected persons.

    The Members plugin doesn’t help. I can create a new role that allows editing others posts but not editing only specific users’ posts.

    Any other ideas?

    Sorry, reading your post title mislead me. I thought you wanted to give editing privileges to certain contributors, not restrict editors to editing only certain contributors.

    I do not know how to accomplish that.
