• Just started with learning sfdc and gravity form integration, but now I am stuck at few points that I need to clear:

    1. Based on some input given in gravity forms, I need to do query in salesforce? Is it possible?
    2. As I can see from tutorial, we can redirect User to an endpoint and pass the form values as query string. Is there any other way to pass the form values to endpoint? Is there any limit on number of texts passed as query string?
    3. Can we map a single form’s input fields to multiple object of Salesforce?
    4. Is there any technical doc i.e. if it’s possible to write our own script to do some operation in salesforce by using this plugin?

    Thanks,
    Ayb.

  • Hi Ayb very interested in your question. Very into Graviy foms and taking further with Salesforce. Becuase SF largely a Declarative communiy we have gone this way for inbound froms from Gforms, using Zapier API becuase it makes it quite flexible and quick to connect not just WP/Salesforce but many more apis and applications in your workflows.

You can API from Form in WP (Gforms) with a webhook that links to the API Mappings in Zapier, it is easy.

You can then addfilters and more and post and map fields bak to your salesforce standad and custom objects.

We are now also then mapping back out the other way and sending native emails from O365 servers avoiding the hassles of relays and emails sent on behalf of.

There are huge possibilities and otehr API tools but with the Gforms web hook and hudreds of apps and options youc an go with, fo flexibility alone that is the way we have gone. Thought it migh hlp get you going.

But then we want to be able to send back and authorise contracts and stuff, we are working on that with another plugin..Pre-populating the forms is what I want to do also but at the moment I can do that say with a list for a dropdown but want to do i directly from the SF Object schema. Still working on that…

Want to get there faster if I can so happy to share and exchange ideas. You can reach me @intriguignw on Twitter or here. Good Luck Amanda
