    Hello,

I have some image sizes for every image and I don’t want to increase the data storage. I was wondering only to convert the most important images sizes to webp, which are the ones that generate LCP (Largest Contentful Paint).

    Thank you

    Hi @retroriff,

    Thank you for your message.

I think that this is not a good idea. Just make more disk space. Nowadays I think that is not a problem.

But if you need it badly, see the FAQ of plugin for information about filters that may allow you to do this. Note two possible filters – webpc_attachment_paths andwebpc_files_paths.

Thank you. I am curious about why do you think it is a bad idea?

I think it is hard to decide which image size does not convert. If some sizes are not used, what are they for? And if they are used, it is better if they are in WebP. WebP is not used for better test results, but for users – to make the website lighter for them.

What you say makes sense. Thank you

    Hi,
i have same issue and would like to have original uploaded files not converted – reason for this is that those are files downloaded by users and they should be in uploaded format. Filters are out of my programming scope… ??

    Anyway – great plugin :]
