Can we integratie Customize Posts with Kirki?

Good question. You’ll probably want to connect with @aristath to inquire about that. From what I recall, Kirki is focused on extending the customizer’s PHP interface. Customize Posts relies on the JavaScript interface for creating new sections and the controls that go inside of them. If Kikri can dynamically create controls via JS as well, then there is nothing stopping it from adding custom controls to the post sections in the same way that the plugin is adding its own controls to the section.

Thanks for the quick reply! Thats possible with Kirki. But I don’t understand:
1. How to add a control to this plugin.
2. How the ouput is post specific, like will it output the post ID?

@webbiepro777 You actually can refer to Customize Posts itself to how to dynamically add controls to a given post section when it is dynamically added. For example the Page Template dropdown: https://github.com/xwp/wp-customize-posts/blob/0.8.5/js/customize-page-template.js

This JS is what listens for a post section to be created, and when it is, to dynamically extend it with the new control: https://github.com/xwp/wp-customize-posts/blob/0.8.5/js/customize-page-template.js#L29-L44

This is a bit to difficult for me BUT I added the plugin below in my child theme and added this code and it works like charm!! Would be awesome if you could implement this in your plugin.

Just an update here, even if a bit late.
There are plans to allow Kirki controls to update post-meta, but not yet. Right now I’m focusing on other aspects of the plugin that need attention, so this will be done in a future update (no ETA)
