Can we insert items into our Pinboard home page display?

    We love the Pinboard theme for our school district news website:

    School Life Troy

    Can we insert items into our Pinboard home page display? It would be awesome if we could place announcements and messages in between the recent post boxes, like this:

    Remember, school starts September 8th!

    POST

    We don’t want to create a whole separate post just for a brief 5-word announcement. Is there any way to do this?
