Can we edit existing records on MailChimp?

    Can I use this plugin to edit an existing record in MailChimp?

    Imagine the user has used a very simple Sign up form with only email and Name.

    What if I create a page an include a full forms with all the fields displayed?

    Will the user be able to see what has already been entered and add all the additional info that they want and update the record?

    Or it will just be informed that the email has already been entered and not accept the extra info?

    Right now the form is rejected by Mailchimp. With that rejection OSD MC plugin only offers the ability to notify the user – see screen shot

    Having said that it is possible to do what you are asking, however there are certain risks involved. One suggestion might be to send the user a link to edit their mailchimp settings (actually on mailchimps site). If this is a need of yours we can consider it in a future release as an “at your own risk” feature.

    In fact my approach would be to present to the enduser just the bare bones fields:

    email and name

    I am tweaking the MailChimp email content to inform the enduser that they can use the Edit User Preference and have access to all of the fields defined and select multiple Areas of Interest for example, besides the regular info fields.

    I was just wondering if desired if that could be done from within the plugin.
