Can we clone a site, and then push it to live?

    Hi. We are looking at taking on a huge Multi Site project.

    Each site will need to be redesigned, but initially just the main “mother site”. I’ve never handled Multi Sites before. But we need to migrate the whole lot over (which we can do), and then clone the main one. Redesign it, and then make that main one, the live one.

    How would we do that? Note: we do not have the sites nor the plugin yet.

    Usually we would use cPanel anbd Installatron to dupe, then redesign, then Push to live.

    Yes! That’s how Cloner works. You can clone any site on your network to any new site on the same network.

    Sorry that doesnt’ really answer the question. I know it can cloned any site ON to the network. But I asked after migrating one away to be redesigned, can it be cloned BACK, and REPLACE it?

    So you clone https://www.fredsite.co.uk to fred.testsite.co.uk.
    Redesign it.
    Then you want to close fred.testsite.co.uk back to fredsite.co.uk.

    How do you do that?

    You can achieve this outcome, however, you Clone Over sites using the Remote Cloning feature, so you would need to remote Clone the site to a new site on the destination server, then, use Clone Over mode to clone that site over the main site (or any site in the Network). Hope that helps!
