    Hi ya,
    I’ve been experimenting with this.

    And getting some inconsistent results.

When a book is created, it adds a featured image to the post. This is something I don’t want, because the featured image creates a massive image on the post in the blog post loop. And on the post page.

    ——————-

Also, in my case, I want it to always create a blog post so that should be set by default.

    ————————

I have the Jetpack subscription option enabled, where when a new post happens, it sends an email. In that post, it has text of “DO NOT DELETE”

I found this text was in the relevant post.

So the review text was not put in the post at all…

    Hi there Norman,

So unfortunately, there isn’t a way to set up any defaults for when adding a new book. Not a bad idea – one that I might consider rolling into a new update in the future.

As far as the posts being created, by default they are created with a featured image, and there also ins’t a way to control that. Also, the content for a post actually comes from a template that comes with WPBookList, as opposed to the content being placed in the text editor/Gutenberg Editor itself, like a regular post – I did this to be able to provide more book details and have a more interactive layout for a book’s Page or Post.

    Thanks again for using WPBookList!

    -Jake
