    Hy guys and thanks for your plugin and support ?? I just tested yours and I like it a lot but…I would like to know if I can (and how) have this:

    1) block user scroll until consent is given or denied
    2) blurry the page until consent is given

    Let’s say something like https://www.engadget.com but not so “strong”

    I ask this because testing my site with this GDPR bar I see that I can visit, scroll, do whatever I want without click on the consent button so for ads this will be absolutely bad due to the fact that they will not load and show until user click the consent ??

  • Hello @webtoffee team,

    I just came over this plugin, and I really like it, but I have almost the same question as @jedi82.

    As far as I have understood, the latest addition to the cookie law is that website visitors need to actually click the “Accept” button before any non-essential cookies can be downloaded, so blurr or scroll-block would be great until consent is given/not given.

    I did a test now on my own website (https://www.gorgeous-geek.com/), just leaving the banner there without clicking “Accept” and cookies were downloaded. I also tried to adjust the cookie settings right away to disable unessential cookies, but still all these cookies were downloaded: https://www.loom.com/share/ae6a0421f71248b99544e5ba3c925639

    I have the free version, so this might have something to do with it?

    Thank you!

    that’s right. Staying like this now, ads will never fired up until user will click accept and we now that the most of them…will not… ??

    Hi @jedi82,

    Please follow the instruction in the article here to block access to the site until user gives consent. Kindly ignore the irrelevent options mention in the screenshot in the article as it is about the paid version.

    @vibeque.

    To set proper working, kindly ensure below:

    1. Ensure that the script of all non necessary cookies are placed under the Non Necessary Cookie section of the plugin(head or body script input field).
    2. Ensure that the same script is not added via any other means, ie directly in theme or through any other plugins.

    Refer guide.
