Can version 2.2 be used with WooCommerce Admin disabled?

    The changelog for version 2.2 says “Tweak – Move the Facebook settings page into the Marketing menu item (WooCommerce 4.0+)”.

    The Marketing menu item is part of the WooCommerce Admin suite. Many users disable this feature for performance reasons using plugins such as Disable WooCommerce Bloat.

    Can I safely upgrade from version 2.1.4 to 2.2 with WooCommerce Admin disabled?

    The Facebook settings will not be visible in version 2.2 if WooCommerce Admin is disabled. More and more WooCommerce functionality will likely be integrated into WooCommerce Admin in future releases, so we’d recommend keeping it enabled.

    That’s a pity. WooCommerce Admin is such a resource sink I can’t justify allowing it remain active.

    I’ll stick with Facebook for WooCommerce 2.1.4 until it stops working. Would you recommend WooFeed as an alternative?

    Honestly, I don’t have any experience with that plugin, and I’ve not heard anything about it one way or the other.
