can user comment without connecting to social media networks?

The social network login is just an extension. wpDiscuz is designed for WordPress users and guests.

and without changing the commenting format?

Here is my issue: I like Facebook’s Discussion/Comment format, but some of my site’s users would choose to post anonymously — this means they cannot post through their actual FB account. So this FB plugin would not work for me, if it must connect to FB.

So I am looking for a comment/posting plugin with similar features to the FB one, but one that users do not need to connect to their social networks when they comment/post, unless they choose to.

Any suggestion?

wpDiscuz extends native wordpress comment system and it provides with all the same functions and features. This plugin allows anonymous commenting, wordpress authorized commenting and commenting with social network account. However it doesn’t have a feature to allow anonymous comments with posting those to the commenter facebook account.

Just want to be 100% clear. wpDiscuz doesn’t offer some comment format features like the FB one, e.g.

wpDiscuz does not put the comment with the most likes on top of other comments with less likes, right?

wpDiscuz does not show location of user, right?

The first is under development and will be available on next moth, but the second one (location) are not planned in near future.
