• Hi There,
    I get this error.

    Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /dev/wp-admin/media-upload.php could not be found on this server.

I think it started when I moved from https://www.mywebsite.com/dev to https://www.mywebsite.com. I followed instructions (only copied index.php and .htaccess). I looked around but cannot find any solution. Strange thing is that, when working with the .htaccess file I noticed that I can even use an empty file. It still works.

Also tried uploading the file from a fresh copy of WordPress.

    * point of notice. In a earlier stage i switched domains (from https://www.oldwebsite.com/dev to the earlier named https://www.mywebsite.com/dev). Then I noticed the flash uploader wasn’t functioning, but I figured it had probably something to do with the host, so did not pay to much attention to it, since the normal file browser worked fine.

Can anyone put me in a direction for a possible solution to this?

    Kind regards,
    Bas

  • Try adding SecFilterEngine off to the .htaccess file.

    Thanks!
    What does that do?

Has it something to do with the server capabilities? I noticed that I can install this installation on another server, and then adjust my hosts file to force the dns to look up my website. Then it just works.

    Again, thanks!

It turns a filter off on the server for you that is causing your problem.

    Thanks again,
It gives me an internal server error however. I contacted the provider…

    There probably isn’t another solution?

*crossing my fingers, hoping there is*

    Thanks,
    Bas
