I have an established site that I am considering converting to multisite and adding a few new sites running along side it.

Can they all share a common theme, but have different theme settings? Backgrounds and color schemes for example? Or do I need to install the theme multiple times?

That’s the beauty of Multisite, the entire network can share resources so you only need the theme installed once, each sub-site in your network can have completely different settings.

    Hope this helps.

I’m new to redirecting so I need help too.

    1) So would I use Redirect in Cpanel to redirect and use Wild Card ?
    2) So I can have Old-domain.com redirect to new-domain.com which will have all my pages there still? Such as Home, Contact and About me?
    3) All my main files will remain in old-domain.com (which I am okay with if that is the case)
    4) If people type the new domain directly, will a website pop up? or only when people go to the old-domain a website will pop up.
