• We are trying to setup a new newsletter system for our WP website. We have decided for various reasons to use MailGun as our mail server, but I have no idea if this plugin has a specific compatibility with Mailgun (as some seem to have) or if I will just need to use the Mailgun SMTP settings.

Is this the right plugin for what we want to do (get subscription, create newsletter using a template system and send them using Mailgun ervers) or should I change my approach?

    Thank you

We don’t have mailgun API support right now, but we could add it I’m sure for a Pro customer. You could of course already use the SMTP option in the Pro version.

We can do everything you outlined above. Drop us a line in our contact form if you want to discuss it a bit more. We respond to those first.

You show support for mailgun but I do not see it listed under the pro settings?

I’m assuming that is a misprint?

    Hey Schnarkle,

It looks like there is a bug in SendPress Pro that is causing the settings to not show for Mailgun. We are working on a fix and will have it released in the next few days.

To send with Mailgun you will need to have SendPress Pro.

I need to talk to my client before I proceed, but I wanted to thank you for the reply and suggestions.

By the way, this is the first time I am setting up a newsletter in WordPress (but I set up dozens in Joomla) and the first time I am using a system like Mailgun (usually we just use the local mail). Any help or direction you can provide me with, will be appreciated and most definitely, I will tell my client to go for the pro version.

Usually, I know my plan before I start something like this, but this time I am overwhelmed by a site that was built by other people and not very well. We are having countless problems so I don’t have many resources to devote to it personally. If you guys can point me in the right direction I’d be very grateful. I am learning wordpress fast, but not as fast as I would like.

    Thanks.
