• Hello,

I need all files uploaded to uploads folder to be uploaded directly to Amazon S3 and loaded them from Amazon, or uploaded the my server immediately deleted in order to offload my server. Can this plugin do that ? Thank you

yes, this is possible. There are a lot of tutorials on how this can be achieved. Further more, you can also contact our team, from the menu Performance > Support > CDN configuration. If you go with that option one of our team members will properly configure that for you.

    Hello,

I have fully installed your plugin and selected Cloudfront and properly set my Amazon Cloudfront access credentials but that will just act as simple CDN loading the files from cloudfront. What I need is for my ‘uploads’ folder files to be sent either directly on Amazon S3 and then use Amazon Cloudfront or uploaded on my server – sent to Amazon S3 and then deleted from my server. I need my server WordPress upload folder to always be almost empty. My website is a small freelancer website so people are uploading files to my server upload folder (pdf, zip, jpg, etc) to communicate with the employers, all those files will take huge space on my server, I need to solve that. Right now I’m using Offload S3 plugin that does exactly what I need but it has some issues that developer won’t fix it on free version.

Another issue is that even if CDN is enabled with Cloudfront and test pass, the images / files on website are still loaded from my server instead of cloudfront. Until now the plugin did nothing to speed up my website. I have disable it the plugin until I get some help here.

    Hello,

There is a guide on how to set up W3TC with Amazon S3 on our FAQ page. It apperas that you CDN is not set up propperly.
I hope you will find these guidelines helpfull.

It sure can. It works well. If u are having issues it can be a variety of reasons why your images arent being sent and/or retrieved from S3/Cloudfront … e.g. hardcoded domains that dont match what w3tc is suppose to upload, being added to your page late in the build process or dynamically.

I am sure i am wrong but i dont think w3tc deletes what it uploads to the CDN…i figure so it has a backup and something to monitor when it changes. But you could simply just manually delete the contents of the folder. Again, i could be wrong about this.
