Unfortunately not, especially the “counter” is really dangerous. Previously, the plugin as doing this. But eventually we all played a lot with it and mixing this with options and stuff it was a mess and dangerous.

I’m not sure what’s so dangerous, but it’d be really useful for SEO. I often just copy-paste images into posts via the ‘OnePress Image Elevator’ plugin, so the filenames are horrendous. Add title and alt tags to the mix, and you’ll be way ahead of the competition (I know, you already are).

It gets confusing when you start removing and adding new photos to the post and re-using the renamer, that is why, a lot of unexpected things can happen. I prefer to have a unique name that a counter. Also, for SEO, repetition is harmful. Better to have one file renamed in your post at the beginning and to forget about the following ones.

When I have time, I might work on this title and alt tags since people would love this. Problem is that the plugin is originally a file renamer, it renames the files and consequently have to update the references to it in the database, but the content of the HTML like titles and tags is really a different operation. I thought there were SEO plugins for that already though?
