Can this plugin be used on a Wordpres site with a SSL Certificate?

    For security purposes my WordPress website runs only/exclusively on HTTPS secure connection using a SSL certificate. Regarding this i have 2 questions to you:

    1- Can this plugin be used on a WordPress website running with a SSL Certificate or are there any problems?

    2- Will this SEO plugin still be effective and to my site even using the SSL Certificate? Im asking this because a fried told me that using SSL certificates on WordPress websites will lower and damage my reputation on Search Engines like google for example. So what do you think about this, in terms of SEO will the SSL Certificate use be negative in or cause any kind of damage?
