Can This Be Used for Plugin Updating?

    Hello,

    I was wondering if when Maintenance Mode is active, (and visitors are shut out & shown the maintenance mode message), can I update plugins safely?

    Then, once the plugins are all updated, can I just turn Maintenance Mode off so that visitors and subscribers can return to the website again?

    Just trying to be clear on how this puppy works. I have a very busy website and I need something that will shut the site off at the front end while I do all my updates etc.

    Hi @drdavidwelham,

    Yes, you can update your other plugins while keeping the maintenance mode active. This should not make your site available to your visitors.
