Can the reading time be included in the excerpt?

Is there currently a way to include the estimated reading time in lists of posts e.g. in the recent posts list, search results etc.? I tried another plug in that had a way to insert the reading time for any post given the ID via a tag, so I could add it to the template, but I prefer this one’s control of formatting etc. Is there an equivalent yet?
