    Hi there!

As mentioned in the documentation, Google introduced Consent Mode in March 2024 to comply with privacy laws in the EEA/UK region. This requires website visitors from these regions to explicitly grant consent for cookies before any analytics tracking, including Google Analytics and Google Ads, occurs.

Since your site hasn’t been using Google Analytics and you’ve resisted setting up conversion measurement, Google for WooCommerce will still work, but without explicit consent from visitors in the EEA/UK, Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Ads won’t capture user data.

Please note that the Google for WooCommerce extension does not include a user interface for cookie consent, such as a cookie banner. However, it is integrated with the WP Consent API, allowing you to choose a different extension that can handle cookie consent prompts and comply with the requirements.

    I hope this helps.
