    Hi there,

I was wondering if this amazing plug-in can see that the ics file has changed and then auto reload the calendar? Or do I always have to refresh the page to see any changes?

    Many thanks for your time

    Best regards
    Raymond

The plugin caches the calendar data for 10 minutes for better performance. It should pick up any changes within 10 minutes, but you can also force it to reload by temporarily adding reload=“true” to the shortcode.

I don’t recommend always leaving forced reload on, because it may cause the calendar server to block the requests depending on how busy your site is.

    Hi Room,

Thanks for your answer, but then we still have to refresh the page do we?
I am wondering if we could have a ‘live feed’ of our calendar that changes automatically.

Let me know if this is a thing

    Cheers

It’s not really feasible to have the plugin refresh the calendar, but if this is for something like a video display that needs to update without manual interaction, I would recommend putting a meta refresh tag into the page the calendar is shown on. Having it refresh every 600 seconds would probably be sufficient.
