    Hi Philip,

Was just wondering if there was a way for the subtitle to be rendered through the testimonial shortcode which Jetpack provides.

I’ve managed to add support for the post type as per the documentation, but it seems that this is not outputted if I use the [testimonial] shortcode within a widget.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Leo

    Hi Leo,

I should probably just add testimonial support by default, like I did with the portfolio module.

Enabling data storage (basically enabling subtitles on the post type) doesn’t necessarily mean that the output is going to automatically work, especially when it comes to something like custom shortcodes.

I’m going to leave this thread open and see if there’s anything that can be done I’ll let you know. In the meantime you could also look into hijacking that shortcode or rolling a custom one, but it’d probably take me some time to wrap my head around easily making this happen.

Subtitles will definitely show up in testimonials post titles like normal, but I haven’t dug deeply enough into shortcode output to see how we could filter that to include subtitles.

    Cheers,
    Philip

Heads up that I’ve added this into the plugin natively. It’ll be added into the next release (some point today).
