• Hi there,

Please could someone help me? I’ve recently gone back to freelance work and started my own wordpress website so please excuse me as I’m a little rusty!

Basically I’ve been working on the site with no issues. I was editing the footer as I noticed there was padding at the bottom making the small text look too high up, I’m not sure what I’ve done but since then I am now getting the message “Empty template: Pages” on every page so am unable to view the site. I have de-activated and re-activated each plugin one by one and this hasn’t resolved it. I can’t see anywhere to “reset” the template. I also couldn’t find an index.php file in the download as I read somewhere I could copy/paste this and put it back so was unable to try this. When I have activated a new theme, it all works fine so I’m scratching my brain as to whether its a user error on my part or a theme issue.

Any help/feedback would be hugely appreciated, thanks so much.

    The website is https://www.galvanizedesign.co.uk

    All best,

    Gaby

I’ve decided to just start again!

    Hi @gabzzzz

Sure! You can start again. Does it work now?

In the site editor > Templates > select the template used for Pages. Check if there’s content in the template used for pages. If not, try to add contents and visit your pages again to see if that works.

For resetting the template, go to the site dashboard, Appearance > Editor > Templates, you can see the templates available on the site, then look for the Pages template. If a template has been customized, clicking the 3 dots at the bottom right of the template will show “Reset”. Note that selecting Reset will immediately revert to the default template. And this change can’t be undone.
