    I’ve had this plugin and the paid extensions, for a week now and despite MANY hours of tech support and trying to make it work, it’s STILL not working and I’m at my wits end because it looks really bad that I have half of it working and its also leaving me open to legal troubles.

    I have been able to figure out many of the problems on my own but this last one WONT BUDGE and the developer tells me its a plug in issue but I’ve disabled them all (yes & cleared the cache on both the front & back ends as well as the master on my server) and it’s not changed anything!

    The problem is on this page . The first issue was that the extensions were not displaying properly and after 3+ hours with the developer couldn’t resolve it I ended up figuring out a work around by using a table and putting the codes in the text cells.

    Now I have three action codes that won’t work in those cells and despite more than 20+ hours of effort these dam things STILL wont work. The codes I’m trying to place on the page are: [wps-mail-to-user label=”private message”], [wps-friends-add-button] & [wps-friends-pending] but no matter what they just wont pass through to the front end.

    Can anyone PLEASE HELP me figure this out?

    Today really is my day for “paid” topics…

    Here’s the problem: the author cannot support their customers in these forums. For paid extension support please work with the author on their site.

    The author isn’t allowed to help you here. You’re their customer and if they did that here they’d get a polite tap on the shoulder to take the support somewhere else.

    Please work with them on their site, that’s really where you need to seek help. You’re their customer and I am sure that would be fine with them.

    It might be of benefit to RE-READ my post as I’ve clearly noted that the author cannot/will not help. which is why I’m posting to the community.

    WE have spent more than 20 hours helping you and you refused to allow us to do things in order for us to find the problem. I have asked you numerous time to post for help on our support desk on the site and you are doing that as well.

    We gave you coding for your pages as well to help you which you have used but are saying we did not help you.

    We cannot find a problem when you tie our hands. I am still waiting for your support ticket on the PRO site. We cannot help via email as we need to track our support.

    As stated above we are waiting for your Help Desk ticket.

    First off, I can’t login to your site (I have screen shots to show, but can’t upload here) to even place another ticket and I’m confused WHY you would even demand this of me considering that I’ve ALREADY sent you a ticket which initiated our discussion via email on the 31st and you’ve SEEN and worked on the problem while we were on SKYPE and…. it’s yet to be resolved so why exactly are you asking me to enter another ticket for what you’ve already told me you can’t fix?

    In addition, I’m very sure my SKYPE records indicate we’ve spoken 2 hours 46 minutes (in total), and much of that was you telling me to try this or that via screen share followed by “i don’t know why it’s doing that & I’ll look into it & get back to you later”. Problem is, you didn’t get back to me later, I ended up figuring part of it out on my own and when I didn’t hear back from you I sent a follow up request to which we initiated the second skype call that again failed to resolve the problem.

    That miscalculation aside, I HAVE already submitted a support ticket, your response was for me to turn off all of my plugins and try it again and this is EXACTLY WHAT I DID (which caused allot of other problems requiring hours of cleanup) and it DIDN’T FIX THE PROBLEM so I don’t know what you’re talking about that I didn’t follow your guidance. On top of that I took it further by contacting my host and had them scan the back end for any problems which they found none and have been told by multiple people including my host that the jquery warning is not anything of substance in relation to the issue.

    So I though that instead of blaming me and/or my sites plugins or set up you would actually assist me in resolving the issues but since you said “I have told you the problem which is a conflict via another plugin but if we cannot disable them all but PRO we cannot find it.
    If you are wanting a refund let me know and at the same time remove pro from your site and I will be happy to give you a refund.

    I have NEVER refused to disable the plugins so you can move on from that as an excuse, It’s been DONE, the caches cleared in the FRONT, BACK & SERVER ends, I would think you would be interested to figure out why your plugin that your charging people for isn’t working?

    All that said, You’ve been very nice but I didn’t pay for nice, I paid for helpful & a functional plugin. I’m not trying to be rude, but I could end up with legal issues related to privacy issues because of this and since I can’t get it fixed with you, I’m sourcing my request to the community.

    Wouldn’t you agree that this is not the next appropriate step?

    So for others reading this (yes I did reopen it because its OBVIOUSLY not resolved)

    The page having the issue is https://eatingdisorderstreatmentreviews.org/profile/ and the issue is related to the function codes not working. at the bottom of the page under the “about me” section I have [wps-mail-to-user label=”Private Message”] which is supposed to show up as a button on the front end. As you can see, it’s not there and I can’t figure out why, the other codes on the page for example [wps-extended styles=”0″ slug=”website” before=”Website:”]? would only work AFTER i put them into a table however this will not work with the mail to code.

    Does anyone have any ideas of what else might be the problem?

    Where is that a rule & why is there a forum? Am I missing a word press rule? I understand if you can’t because you’re the developer, but I think we’ve already concluded that you can’t help anyway, are you saying I’m not supposed to post to the community because its a paid plugin? Can you direct me to this rule in case I’m missing others as well please.

    I’m sorry for the frustration, but the Plugin Author here has provided instructions for receiving help on their site. I recommend doing that.

    OK, thank you for that… but what do you do when the first option hasn’t worked? I like 90% of the plug in & it’s an all or nothing with just a few things still needing sorted out. Is there somewhere else I can/should be asking for help?

    I really appreciate guidance, like I said I’m not trying to be rude but I really need this sorted asap & I don’t know anyone that understands this & I’m only 2 months into building my site so I’m learning as I go.

    Well, it sounds like you’re already in touch via Skype.

    If the username that Robert provided above doesn’t work for you in their own support system, I recommend perhaps changing the direction of the Skype conversation to fixing your access to their proper support system.

    That’s not the issue anymore, The issue is that I’ve exhausted all options with support, he can’t fix the problem which is WHY I’m asking the community! Can you recommend a place where it’s “acceptable” to ask others about a premium plugin?

    I suppose that’s fine, if you have truly exhausted their support but still want to use this plugin.

    Just be aware that the likelihood of someone else stopping by support for the free plugin, who has both paid for this plugin and run into your problem, might be rather slim.

    yea I get that but I suspect it’s a coding conflict of some type that may or may not be specific to this plugin. I just don’t know what else to do, I don’t have the resources to hire someone right now and this is a big problem :/ so possibly if someone else has had script conflicts and/or something on my page stands out to them as a conflict consistent with their issues they could point me in the right direction. That’s all I’m looking for. I’m new to this but I’m a quick learner, I just cant figure this one out.

    I have not decided on this yet! I still need help with that one problem if SOMEONE ELSE could help me I would use it. Please don’t block me from getting the help I need even if you aren’t able to provide it.
