• Hey guys,

    My site is https://www.ExerciseRoutinesBlog.com

For some reason my sidebar appears near the bottom of the page, or I get all sorts of weird HTML formatting (everything is underlined, or I’ll see random HTML) I followed the instructions below:

This is most often caused by an open HTML tag in one of your posts.

Go to settings > writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then click “save changes.”

Now, starting with your latest post, open it in the editor, switch from the visual tab to the HTML tab (waiting for the page to refresh) and then switch back to the visual tag (again waiting for it to refresh), and then click “update post.” Check your blog and if it is back to normal, you are golden. If not, open the next post and do the same thing till it goes back to normal.

    AND here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/layout-issues/

Can you help me find the invalid HTML that’s causing all of my issues please?

    Thanks,
    Raza

  • I don’t see any problem when looking at the site, but I could have overlooked it.

If you have corrected the problem, please use the dropdown on the right to mark this topic ‘Resolved’.

If you still have the problem, please post a link to a page on the site where the problem can be seen.

Thanks for your response. It seems like the problem happens at different times, depending on the browser. I haven’t seen it in Firefox, but I do see it in Safari, IE, and Chrome.

I just saw it a few hours ago, but now it disappeared again, without me changing anything.

    Any ideas on what’s happening?

    Thanks,
    Raza

The next time it happens, view the source code of the page, copy it and save in a pastebin. That may help find the problem.
