Can slideshow show external link?

    Interesting. This could be a possibility since fancybox provides support for the display of an iframe element, though adding it to a slideshow might be a bit beyond the native capabilities of the script. We will add this to our feature requests and look into building it into a future release.

    I wasn’t even thinking of an iframe – I just want to replace the link so it’s a different image rather than a larger version of the thumbnail. Is that doable?

    Got it. It is not possible with the current release of the plugin. We have updated the feature request and will see about getting that added.

    Fyi, I ended up doing it with nextcellent galleries and ngg custom fields – so this demos the effect I’m looking for:
