Can shortcode pass variables for languages and alternative flags

    I’m including gtranslate widget in my theme with

    ?<?php echo do_shortcode(‘[gtranslate widget_look=”popup”]’); ?>

    Can I also pass the attributes for languages I want to include and alternative flags using the shortcode? I’d love to replace Spanish flag for Mexican and USA flag for British. Are there attributes for these options in shortcode? Thank you

    Hi,

    You cannot do that. You will need to go to GTranslate plugin settings page, select Popup widget look and configure the appearance there. After that the shortcode will use the settings from the configuration page.

    If you need something special and need a more flexible solution, then you can look into our Website Translator Widget which will provide you HTML code with parameters which can be modified.
