Can self-hosted sites obtain the WordPress.com widget "Upcoming Events"?

  • Hi! I’m currently developing my first self-hosted WordPress site. In looking for a calendar widget, I discovered that users of WordPress.com get a standard widget called “Upcoming Events”, which meets all of my needs…. But I can’t seem to find a version of that widget that’s available to us, self-hosted folks.

    Can that be right?

    Loads of independent calendar-related plugins appear in the directory, but none of them seem to be this simple or elegant….
