• Similar to the request by jtorres_mora a few weeks ago, it would be spectacular if I could specify a category with the shortcode.

I’m working on a site where I will have four or five “blog” pages that display posts selected by category but all using a common template and CSS. As the number of posts increases, I may decide to select by subcategory, too, so the number of “blog” pages will increase over time. As I understand it, I will have to have a different list for each page, where the only difference will be the category name (or slug) I assign in the “Posts: Tax Query.” If I change the format (and I will), I’ll have to make the same template and/or CSS changes over and over again.

Instead, if the shortcode accepted “slug” or “name” parameters, I could maintain one list and simply fiddle with the shortcode like:

    [postlist id=7189 slug=education] or [postlist id=7189 name=Stories]

    Thanks!
