Can Product Category Slug and Page Slug be the same?

    Hey @karawaggio – if it’s working as expected, I don’t see why not. The main thing to bear in mind is that changes to the permalinks structure could mess things up a lot.

    Can I ask where your question is coming from? What are you worried about?

    Hi Job, thanks a lot for making it clear! The question is coming from my recent practice. I got a page and a category with the same slug and everything worked fine. Then I created another page and a category with the same slug. The product category never opened a page with categories when I was addressing it by typing its slug after site url. I was always redirected to other places (blog posts, product pages, even image file). Hence, I suggested that this redirection happened because I created two items inside of WordPress with the same slug. However, now (thanks to your answer as well) I understand that the reason was in something else.
