• Not sure if I am missing something in the configuration of the blog or if this another issue. I am using the Simple Tags plug-in and when I try to display a tag cloud using the widget; tags will appear in the tag cloud when logged in, but no tags will appear when not logged in. I have tried deactivating the Simple Tags plug-in and using wp_tag_cloud() template tag and received the same result. Is there an option somewhere in the WordPress v2.7 settings that only displays the tags to people logged in? I can’t find anything in my searches.

An update … after testing the plug-ins installed on the blog I found that the User-Cats Manager plug-in is causing the problem. The plug-in seems to restrict unregistered users and even some registered user levels from seeing the tags in a tag cloud. Not sure if this would be considered a bug, but I wanted to make others aware of the problem.

It is a bug and if what I’ve read is true the author does not intend to repair it. If you need to restrict the users to specific categories use Category Access 0.8.2 https://www.coppit.org/code/
