• When I go to try and add media (PDF files, pictures, word document) I keep getting an error message of: An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.

It looks like it will load and then it gives me an error message.

Also, the select files button, I get this message below it.

Warning: Division by zero in /home/hartki5/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 268
Maximum upload file size: 0 TB.

All my previous media image files are not loading either. What is going on here? please advise. Thank you.

  • Howdy @kvanstraalen,

    A few questions for you:

    • Maximum upload file size: 0 TB – That does not look right at all. That is a PHP setting that you can either update via php.ini or you may have to ask your host to take a look
    • Have you tried deactivating your plugins and reactivating them one by one (checking your media each time) to see if it is a plugin-related issue? I would also switch to a default twenty-something theme and check it again to rule out a theme-related issue.
    • Are you really on WordPress version 3.0 as you selected when you made this post? That is very insecure and could totally be causing a variety of issues. I would **highly** recommend staying up to date. We are now on 4.4.1

    Hello Craig,

    Thanks for your response.

What needs to be changed in the php. ini file?
WP upgraded to the latest version.

I am forwarding your responses to our part time IT person for our company.

    Thank you so much.
