The data is saved to the database, but it is not being displayed correctly in the administration.

I too am having this same issue. In my experience I believe the “Not logged-in” option isn’t even being recorded in the database. Ie., when I am not logged in I can navigate to all of my WordPress pages but once I do log in I am then restricted! Backwards from how it should be and I think that is because it is using “Editor” (or some level) higher then not logged-in.

I downloaded the zip from GitHub, installed it and I’m getting these errors upon activation.

Great that you got it sorted. It looks like GitHub does not include submodules when you clone/download the repo.
Restrict User Access is built on the same engine that runs Content Aware Sidebars.

I am not sure what you mean about backwards, but did you try downloading the newest version from GitHub? If that does not solve your problem, please open a new support thread and we will take it from there.

@calliem What did you “grab” to get past the “Fatal error” messages you received. I downloaded the zip file from github and am getting the same error.

I just released version 0.2.1 which includes the fix.

However, in the future, you would have to go to the submodule repo and download/clone it too (https://github.com/intoxstudio/wp-content-aware-engine/tree/64a18ffb76f493bd31d798a42e5fdf8608115bb3), then put it in the lib folder.
Or: git clone –recursive <repo>
