Can not select category

  • Hello,

    I have created custom post type for news in wp 3.6 .
    When I have upgraded wp version 3.6 to 3.8 it stops working properly.

    I cannot save selected category in it.
    means for a news post I have checked 3 categories. and then clicked on public the it can not stores categories. in the list of new post it display ” – ” dash.

    Please help me. How can I solve this issue ?
