I’ve got Jetpack installed and linked to my self hosted site (www.stevenfox.me) which I just setup, however when I go to the Plugins option on WordPress.com it gives me “Error fetching plugins on A Slice of the Wired.” I am not seeing any error messages on my site’s admin interface or Jetpack’s interface. Running WordPress 4.4.1 with Jetpack 3.8.2. Let me know if there is anything else you need to know.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

It seems that we receive a 404 error when trying to query your site using Jetpack’s REST API. Here is the error we receive:

The Jetpack site is inaccessible or returned an error: transport error - HTTP status code
     was not 200 (404) [-32300]

    Could you try the following:

    1) Go the Jetpack menu in your dashboard
    2) Click on “My Jetpack” at the top of the page.
    3) Click on “Disconnect Site from WordPress.com” if your site is currently connected to WordPress.com.
    4) Confirm the disconnection.
    5) Click on the Connect button to connect your site to WordPress.com again.

If that doesn’t help, can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?

    1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
    3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5) Click the “Contact Support” button.

    Thanks!

    Hi Jeremy,

I’ll give that a try and get back with you in a little bit. Thank you!

    Hi Jeremy,

I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the site with no luck. Give the fact you guys are getting a 404 error, I’m thinking it might be something to do with my hosting company, so I’m going to contact them first and see if they can see something on their end. If they say everything is okay then I will use the “Contact Support” option above. Either way, I will post back and let you know how it turns out.

    Hi Jeremy,

It did turn out to be a problem on my hosting company’s side. Thank you for your time and help!
