The login page to get admin access does not let me write anything in the password field.

This seemed to appear after after the latest wordpress update (5.3).

TEMPORARILY FIXED! I rolled back to a previous backup (old wp version) and logged in.

I still are not sure what caused this proiblem.
    Any ideas?

I have this same issue after updating to WordPress 5.3.

Update: I just noticed that this only occurs when the login screen is configured to allow the user to login with different accounts (WordPress.com account or username and password). It does not occur when the login screen is configured to allow the user to login with username and password only.

The problem occurred when the Jetpack plugin was set to allow user to log in using their WordPress.com account. As soon as this option was disabled, the problem went away. Before the setting could be changed, I had to revert WordPress to version 5.2.4 so I could log into the admin dashboard.
