• Hi,

    I’ve spoke with my Hosting/Server and they backed up my website to at least upload. However, I can not sign into my WordPress backend.

    Hi Michelle,

    Thank you for reaching out to us, I have checked your issue and it seems like the problem originated from the Database level such that your wordpress admin page and sessions are not creating and maintaining on the database and it seem to be corrupted partially, I did try to recover but it had not resolved the main issue of login to backend.

    As a last solution, I have recovered your application from the backup of 25th June and it seems that your database gets recovered too with all of the sessions and data properly. You are requested to kindly check by login in through the backend and let us know if you encounter any issues.

    Thanks,
    Owais Rizvi

    What sort of problem do you encounter when you try to login? Is there an error message or screen you can share with us?

    Remember, we do not have any sort of login access to your site. So unless you share details of the specific error message you’re seeing with us, there’s not much we can do to help you.

    George!!!!

    I went back to restore the website from date June 24, 2022. It worked!!!! I can now sign in.

    I added this code to my WordPress Theme Header section. Then I had a problem. It is not there anymore.

    Copy and paste the <meta> tag into your site’s home page. It should go in the <head> section, before the first <body> section.
    <meta name=”msvalidate.01″ content=”F59FA1C317C7F037D8DAE7181947D4F7″ />
    * To stay verified, don’t remove the meta tag even after verification succeeds.

    I guess I should use a Plugin instead of adding code to the Theme code.

    The code:

    <meta name="msvalidate.01" content="F59FA1C317C7F037D8DAE7181947D4F7" />

    … by itself shouldn’t break your site or cause any problem.

    Most likely, it was placed at the wrong spot, that’s why your site got broken.

    And yes, I’ll recommend you use a plugin to insert the meta tag (and other tracking code) into the head of your site. This way, you won’t lose the codes when you update the theme!
