can not log in to wordpress after initial setup

  • just installed wordpress onto my apache server on my computer.
    the installation was successful, but when I tried to log in, the log in screen will just reset itself each time.

    user name: admin
    password: whatever was generated

    I click ‘log in’, the screen resets.

    please help me out.
